Objectives

From its inception The University of Chicago has been marked by its strong ties to European thought and culture. The new Center in Paris takes Chicago's strong traditions of high-level research combined with first-rate teaching back to their European roots. The new Center serves as:

  • an undergraduate teaching facility with a broad set of course offerings for our students

  • an advanced research facility for faculty and graduate student fellows

  • a site for conferences and colloquia

  • a center fostering exchange, dialogue and collaboration with our European colleagues

  • a gathering place for our alumni residing in Europe
